I’m a massage therapist who started powerlifting 6 years ago…….. I hadn’t exercised since a teenager and once I had my family, I decided I should get fit. Luckily for me I met my now dear friend and coach Ellie Steel in 2018.

She introduced me to this amazing sport and my life has completely changed for the better. I feel more confident, consistently pushing myself to the point where I am now an international Masters lifter on the GB team. In 2022 I was invited to Sweden for the IPF European masters powerlifting competition following that, 5 months later being asked to Canada for the IPF world powerlifting competition.

I have never been so proud of myself making podium place on both occasions. I train with wonderful supportive people who are now friends but the biggest thing for me is that I think is that I’m setting a good and healthy example to my children and grandchildren!
